sorting problem

I'm interested in Astrology and have a database of planetary longitude positions in Excel

I'd like to be able to scan the database to flag when one or more planets
make angles to others

1/ set scan for line 6913-6943 ( dates)
so ColB is 90degrees to ColC - no = 0
ColB is 90degrees to Col D - yes = 1 ( mark it somehow , colour cell etc)
etc to Col L

2/ could the scan be for various degrees in the one scan
or as a separate scan for each degree set

is this easier to do in Access or leave it in Excel?

first thanks for your help so far

my level of Excel is reasonably basic
I don't use it a lot & over the years have learned to do what I need
some time ago , I opened up the ephemeris data to make separate info on Page 2 referring to the database on Page 1 ( to me, complex)
I try to avoid complexity
what I had in mind ( simplistic I know) is
1/ highlight a month of data ahead
2/ drop the formula on to look for where Col1 is ( >=,0, 90deg, 120d, 180d, 240d, 270d ) from Col2, then Col3 etc
however you prefer to do it ( I'd like to be able to edit it )

3/ results could be on the same line or as you have, a results page ( resume)

4/ results should be -- sun 90 moon, sun 180 venus , etc ( maybe I can edit this )

5/ do we really need the Message page at all ?

6/ the message on Resume needs only show one line

thanks

I try to avoid complexity
there is not any complexity here

Here, I answer to your questions:
1/ I don't understand you
2/ I understand, that you want an option every values (>=,0, 90deg, 120d, 180d, 240d, 270d), but the problem is, that I don't know what is the result for every conditions. In addition in Col1 there are dates, but I think what you mean Col2 (always related with the Sun)
3/ You will be able to select this
4/ The messages sheet (table messages), is precisely for that
5/ View answer number 4
6/ View answer number 3

Notes:
In your example, put (>=,0, 90deg, 120d, 180d, 240d, 270d), I don't understand, when I can apply the Greater or Equal, and how to calulate reference value. Thinking, that your list are complete, I would take 270, for this condition
For example, if the Sun=192 and Mercury=192 I have a match, in Excel this is IF(B2=C2,Value for True, Value for False) but other way is IF((B2-C2)=0,Value for True, Value for False)
In other hand, you show 90deg, but also show 120d in the same range. I ask you, when I compare with "deg" and when I must compare with "d" ?

Excel Facts

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
sorry if i confuse you
1/ just a question exactly how I attach/implement the formula
2/ inaccurate wording by me -- not Col1 - I can't see my sheet but I mean start with left hand side -- sun against the rest , then next planet etc
NOTES
i'll have to carefully write this & get back

notes
the formula needs to scan all columns in sequence
the formula is to check that say ColB is > than Col C ( that means it has passed, not less or equal to )
on the spreadsheet --eg 29-3-18 is ColB > than 0 ColC = no
colB > than 0 ColD = no
etc across to Col N
then ColB > than 90deg Col C = no
Col B > than 90deg Col D = no

then test ColB against the rest for- 120deg, 180deg, 240deg
then Col C would test the rest , ColD against the rest etc to finish testing the line

so all columns would ultimately test all other columns for crossing 0, 90,120,180,240 degrees then move to the next line
it's possible for more than one crossing to be made on the one line, so messages page needs to handle it

I've corrected & changed the marked cells
2.4.2019 the sun ColB > than ColC ( it passed over)
6.4.2019 ColC passed > than 180deg ColH
11.4.2019 ColC passed > than 120deg Col I

I hope this makes it clear now

however you choose to code it, that'll be fine with me-- whatever is easiest for you
