I am cross posting this question because I am determined to figure it out. Only update from this link is that I've setup the same ODBC connection on about 15 network computers and 3 of them are giving me the same error. This is the link to my post in another forum and my original question;
We have a system ODBC connection on our network, and I have an excel spreadsheet pulling the query results from an Access DB. One desktop is giving me trouble when I try to open the file on the network. I've removed and added back the ODBC connection multiple times. The error I get when I open the spreadsheet is "[DataFormat.Error]ODBC-connection to 'MAS_ACT' failed." Everything looks the same on the other workstations, I am guessing some setting is not allowing the connection to be made?
