If I place a date 10/12/02 for example in cell A1, I want cell A2 to put the date of the next Friday from 10/12/02. Whatever date I put in A1, I want the following Friday in A2. Thanks

Hi,

Try the following...

=A1+IF(WEEKDAY(A1,2)<=5,5,12)-WEEKDAY(A1,2)

Change the test to <5 rather than <=5 to get the date to rollover on a Friday, rather than report the Friday date.

WEEKDAY may be an Analysis ToolPak add-in function. If so, you will have to load it before you can use it.
