hi, i am trying to calculate the difference in working days between 2 working day dates.

Is there some way to accomplish counting only monday to friday and excluding saturday and sunday, if the start and end dates are entered?

thanks and regards

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
The function you want is called NETWORKDAYS(). It not only counts the M-F workdays for you, you can list "holidays" in a range of cells somewhere, then exlude those dates from the count, too.
