Ever I stated using Excel the date format I have used is MM/DD/YY. Just recently, I noticed that all the dates I have entered on different spreadsheets are now show as MM,DD,YY. When I look at the format menu to change them back there is not an option for MM/DD/YY unless I do a custom format. Did Excel change something? Is there a way I can go back to my preferred format without having to do the custom format?

Thanks

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
Even though it looked right, I hit reset and it corrected the issue. Thanks for your help.

Another thing to consider is that maybe your dates are really just text, looking like dates? You can format text however you want, but it still wont change
