date formating

Hi I am trying to keep an eye on my mobile data usage. I can down load the data to excel but the date appears like this
Thu Jul 29 11:51:18 BST 2010 format is general.
what I am trying to do is change it to normal date format dd/dd/yy, if this can be done by time as well would be great but not essentual. I will then be able to sort by date

Try eg:

=TEXT(MID(A1,9,2)&MID(A1,5,3)&RIGHT(A1,4),"ddmmmyyyy")+0
