Date Formatting Problem

How do I convert this date format 2013-01-02 00:00:00.000 to 1/2/2013

Neither of these work. It acts like the format is locked or protected, but it isn't.

I think your format date is as text. You need to remove apostrophe.
copy and paste as Number.

=DATE(LEFT(A2,4),MID(A2,6,2),MID(A2,9,2))
