I have Col A as a Date and ColB with data inc and the dates are in Descending order ( ie oldest date first)
but the date format is wrong to use in other software
presently it's 26.12.2009

but it needs to be 12/26/2009
I tried to change it with Format-- Date and Format - custom but I can't get Excel 2007 to change the date format.
has always worked ok in the past but can't figure out this one

all suggestions welcome
thanks Keith

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.

This worked for me...

Select the range of cells in question
Goto the Data tab
Text to Columns
Click Next twice
In step 3 of the userform...under column data format...select Date and from the drop down select DMY
Click Finish
