Hello and Thanks to All,

I'm having trouble date stamping an output_to file when the file type is a .pdf I'd like the end file name to include the current date. e.g. STG_20110527.pdf.

I'm not using code but simply the Create a Macro form and inputting the properties. Is this something that I may need to code?
Thanks again,

Get help while writing formula
Click the italics "fx" icon to the left of the formula bar to open the Functions Arguments dialog. Help is displayed for each argument.
If you are using a Macro, select the option to "Convert Macros to Visual Basic" (from Macros menu/toolbar). Once this Macro is converted to VBA, you can make the file names dynamic and include a date stamp. Then you just run the VBA code to create the file (which you can call from a Macro or command button, etc).

And the code for the date would be something like this:

Code:
Dim strDoc As String

strDoc = "C:\SomeFolderHere\STG_" & Format(Date, "yyyymmdd") & ".pdf"

and then you would use strDoc where you would be wanting the file in the OutPutTo command.
