I've created a table in the hopes of creating a chart. The table is direct copy from a Pivot Table.

Column B represents 7 day weeks, starting on 07/01/10 to current and is the horizontal axis

07/01/2010 - 07/07/2010
07/08/2010 - 07/14/2010
07/15/2010 - 07/22/2010.....

But, in the chart I do (Line with Scatter) I get numbers as my labels. They look like this:

0 10 20 30 40 50

(Weeks in year)

I've right clicked until I want to scream, I can't figure out how to label this with dates instead.

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
A scatter chart expects both x and y values to be numeric. The x axis is a value axis rather than a category axis (labels).

Thanks for the speedy reply!

That's too bad, I really like everything about my chart, except that axis.

I basically want to graph two series - 'softly' as lines. Do you have a suggestion for another type of chart that would be appropriate?

Many thanks
