Hi

I think I'm just being thick but I want to make sure.

How do I calculate the amount of days between 2 dates

example:

10/05/11 - 15/05/11 = 5

I know it's simple but I'm having a blonde day and can't find the formula I need.

Thanks All

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Hi

Assuming your later date is in A1 and earlier date in B1 then:

=A1-B1

in C1 will calculate it for you. Make sure you format the C1 cell as a Number (it will default to date if set to General otherwise which will look confusing).

I knew it would be that simple.

I've been doing if's and everything but that simple one just threw me.

Thanks
