Hi guys,
conditional average, but I've broken it down and just need the help with conditional sum on dd:hh:mm:ss data format. I'm using excel 2000

I have a range of cells which need to be conditionally summed, the condition is based on lets say entries in column c being char "PERSON A" The data to be summed is time taken in dd:hh:mm:ss format in column d
When I try the conditional sum wizard, the destination of the sum is in dd:hh:mm:ss format but the conditional sum only summs the occurances of PERSON A, I.E, my destination result cell is populated with 6 as opposed to "01:00:12:00" (whicj I know to be the answer)
Any help?
