I am trying to plot current versus voltage for a set of photovoltaic panels from data obtained during a lab class. For example, I have the following data:

current voltage
0.329 16.02
0.373 15.15
0.426 14.11

...

As I have the graphs now, Excel uses the data I selected in the "voltage" column as category values and only creates and labels tick marks for those specific values. I would like to have an x-axis that instead increments by, say, one volt. From looking at the graphs as Excel has plotted them, it seems that I took data for current at even intervals of voltage. That is not true. I tried using the "time-scale" option for the x-axis, but that seems a fishy way of doing it. Also, how do I plot several different sets of data with x and y values on the same axes?

I have microsoft XP.

Thanks so much!

cheers,

Excel Facts

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
I've figured it out! I had been plotting using a line chart type instead of scatter.

Thanks!
