Hi,
Hope this makes sense.
I have a central DATA tab containing lots of ... well, Data ! And I have set up lots of defined names to use on other tabs in the same work book. So for example I have set up :
GenderFemale as =DATA!$Y2:$Y40
GenderMale as =DATA!$X2:$X40
however when I close the Define Names dialog box and then open it again the refers to location has changed to
GenderFemale as =DATA!$Y65520:$Y22
GenderMale as =DATA!$X65520:$X22
However even if I get the references to hold, if I move to another tab and check the Define Names screen then I get this :
GenderFemale as =DATA!$Y10:$Y48
GenderMale as =DATA!$X10:$X48
???????????? every tab seems to have a different reference that won't stay put even when I change them manually. I know there are global and sheet specific names, but can't tell how I can manually force this.
Please help - I feel like I'm going mad !!!!
