Hello I have this code currently

Sub Check ()
If Cells (i, 8).EntireRow.Font.ColorIndex = 54 then MsgBox "item has been scan"
End If
End sub

However, whenever my other code, that causes the colorindex to change, the MsgBox pops out immediately (too fast). Is there a way to slow it down?

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
The message box will appear when you call Check. It does not happen automatically when the color changes. However, you have not shown us where Check is called, and that is the code we need to examine to answer your question.

Please show all of your code.
