I think I have a manual way to delete the check boxes in a Row. Check boxes are "objects" that get define on a spreadsheet. They are kind of separate from the spreadsheet cells, but do have an association with a cells location in the sheet. Before you delete the rows (or columns), you need to select the "objects" in the targeted cells area and remove them, before you delete the cells. To select the objects in the target cells, use the Find and Select (under the Home tab - Edit grouping - Find and Select drop down options) and "select objects". When in this mode, you can then select all objects in the targeted row, column, cell(s) and delete them. Once these have been removed, you can go ahead and simply delete the cells you want and there will be no objects (check boxes, active-x items) lingering around and associated with those deleted cells.
