Delete rows in Excel worksheet VBA

I have an Excel worksheet which can range from approximately 20 rows to 1000 rows. I would like to write a macro to delete the row(s) of any selected cells without allowing the deletion of the first six rows or the last row of the worksheet. If all or part of the first six rows or the last row are selected to delete - I would like a message stating "cannot delete these rows".

With the assistance of someone here (Mr. Excel), I wrote a macro for this a couple of years ago and have since lost it.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
Try

Code:
Sub delrows()
Dim LR As Long
LR = Cells.Find(What:="*", SearchDirection:=xlPrevious, SearchOrder:=xlByRows).Row
If Selection.Row < 6 Or Selection.Row + Selection.Rows.Count >= LR Then
    MsgBox "You cannot delete those rows", vbInformation
Else
    Selection.EntireRow.Delete
End If
End Sub
