Trying to compare only first 6 characters in 2 columns and delete row if duplicates exist. If first 6 of A1 = first 6 of B1 - delete row.

Example:

<TABLE style="WIDTH: 271pt; BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse" border=0 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=360 x:str><COLGROUP><COL style="WIDTH: 140pt; mso-width-source: userset; mso-width-alt: 6802" width=186><COL style="WIDTH: 131pt; mso-width-source: userset; mso-width-alt: 6363" width=174><TBODY><TR style="HEIGHT: 12.75pt" height=17><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #d4d0c8; BORDER-LEFT: #d4d0c8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; WIDTH: 140pt; HEIGHT: 12.75pt; BORDER-TOP: #d4d0c8; BORDER-RIGHT: #d4d0c8" height=17 width=186>A1: 48 VAN BUREN ST
</TD><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #d4d0c8; BORDER-LEFT: #d4d0c8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; WIDTH: 131pt; BORDER-TOP: #d4d0c8; BORDER-RIGHT: #d4d0c8" width=174>B1:PO BOX 407
</TD></TR><TR style="HEIGHT: 12.75pt" height=17><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #d4d0c8; BORDER-LEFT: #d4d0c8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; HEIGHT: 12.75pt; BORDER-TOP: #d4d0c8; BORDER-RIGHT: #d4d0c8" height=17>A2: 50 VAN BUREN ST</TD><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #d4d0c8; BORDER-LEFT: #d4d0c8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; BORDER-TOP: #d4d0c8; BORDER-RIGHT: #d4d0c8">B2:50 VAN BUREN ST PO
</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Row 2 should be deleted.

Hello and welcome to MrExcel.

Try

Code:
Sub DelDup()
Dim LR As Long, i As Long
LR = Range("A" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row
For i = LR To 1 Step -1
    If Left(Range("A" & i).Value, 6) = Left(Range("B" & i).Value, 6) Then Rows(i).Delete
Next i
End Sub
