Deleting a hard return within a cell

Help! I'm entering text into a cell and accidentally hit Alt + enter... how do I delete that hard return? Thanks

=SUBSTITUTE(A1,CHAR(10),"")

The formula substitutes "" for a "hard return" (that's, CHAR(10)), effectively removing it from the value in A1.

If I already have text and it basically looks like this:

sadfl asdrkase asdfasd asdfsad. asdfasd asdfas.
asdraser asdfd asdfas

where would I put the formula (with my cell reference being A12?)

In B12, for eaxample...
