Hi:

How do I delete all hidden rows of a worksheet except those rows that meet
my filter criteria. I tried filtering and deleting the data that I do not want but my worksheet is too large.

Thanks for your help.

Sean

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Why not filter for the records you do want, and copy those to another worksheet or workbook?

Hi

1) Select visible cell entirerow(s) after filter
2) unhide all rows
3) hide selected row(s)
4) delete visible row(s)
5) unhide all rows

Who do you unhide all rows? The only option I see is to undo the filter which unhides all rows. After following step 4 & 5, all I get is blank worksheet. Can you give me a little more information?

Tazguy37 - When I copy and paste into another worksheet, my formulas do not work. Also, I lose all my worksheet format.

Thanks for help so far.

You need select the whole range that you want to apply autofilter then

1) Select visible cell entirerow(s) after filter (Edit -> Jump -> Visible cells)
2) unhide all rows (go to Data -> Filter)
3) hide selected row(s) (go to Format -> Row -> Hide -> Entirerow)
4) delete visible row(s) (go to Edit -> Jump -> Visible cells then Delete)
5) unhide all rows (select entiere sheet -> Format -> Row -> Unhide)
