deleting numbers(cell's) above/below a certain value in a selected field/colum/row

Hello Excel experts!

How do I delete(empty) cells for example if I select a column and I wish to remove all numbers over 1000. Can the same method be aplied to drag selection or if I choose the cells independently from different parts of my worksheet?
