Detecting Excel application deactivate

Hello all,

How do I hook when the Excel application itself is deactivated? I have a custom menu item that needs to be reset whenever the Excel application loses focus (eg user switched to Word or email).

I am successfully hooking SheetDeactivate and WorkbookDeactivate by defining an application object as WithEvents. All that is left is to hook the Application deactivate situation. Thanks in advance for any ideas and/or suggestions!
 

Excel Facts

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
