Hi All,

Can any one help me to use "DGET" fuction with Examples.

I am using MS Excel 2007..

E1:E2 is the criteria range.

E1 houses the match field, E2 the value to match. That is:

E1: Item

E2:

="=WAD"

The formula in E2 ensures that an exact match is effected. Just entering WAD in E2 allows Excel to consider WADA, AWAD, etc. also as a match.

E4:

=DGET($A$1:$B$7,2,$E$1:$E$2)

where A1:B7 is the table (notice the inclusion of the headers/fields), 2 indicates the return range (the result field), and E1:E2 the criteria range (which specifies, as it were, the look up value).

Note that the table in A1:B7 does not contain any duplicates. DGET would return #NUM! if the look up value has a duplicate.
