Diagram view does nothing? (Using V2, option is there, but nothing happens)

Wondering if anyone is having this issue? I have the updated V2 version, and the option is there in both the menu and in the bottom right corner, but it does nothing, just blanks the screen. If I click back to the non-diagram view I can continue on.

I thought I read a post some time ago about it not working in XP, which is my OS, but now I can't find that post either. Any ideas or explanations? Thanks.
