if you also wanted to show whether the difference was positive or minus ((for example A.1 being a unit of distance; A=100mm and new measurement is 96mm or 104mm, put -0 and then you have to remove the '<' otherwise it will show as 4mm regardless of direction
E.G: =IF((A1-B1)-0,B1-A1,A1-B1) 96mm would show -4 and 104mm would show as 4.
