Is there anyway to have different folders for excel questions? e.g. Macros, Formatting, Charts/Graphs, Working with other Office components?

Or is that just too stupid a question?

I don't think it's a stupid question. I've also wondered if it might be possible. There are, however, some downsides.

1. Someone has to place the questions in the correct folder. Maybe the OP knows which folder, and maybe not.

2. Also, many times a poster asks for a certain type of solution, such as macro, formula, etc., only to end up with something completely different.

3. If the posts were placed in certain folders, I know I would presrceen them for topics I am interested in or feel I might be helpful with. I would miss seeing some very interesting post and miss the chance to learn new things

It's not a stupid question :)

It was actually briefly done here before, but could get a bit confusing.

Please see this thread for the reasoning behind the "all-in-one" format.

Hope it helps!

We have tried this before it was a mess!

Best all in one, its to hard to fragment we have spanish in general, and comments n questions.

Im against it, but the techi forumn and spanish split this, i feel rather than splits maybe language would be better, rather than just english / american, even though i would not be able to help then. Many others would just the same.
