Disable Macros of File your opening

I was wondering if there is a way to disable macros in a file that you opening via vba to get data out of? If so what would the macro look like???

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
What code do you have ?
Also,are you just trying to skip the VBA code that is inside the Workbook_Open event of the opened workbook ?

Disable events before opening the workbook.
