This is a bit of a weird one. Is this at all possible, hopefully this is classed as a Excel question, if not my apologies.

I would like to be able to display on a Television a live worksheet from a Excel File on SharePoint so staff can see the current data, I don't want it to timeout but I cant for security reasons leave a PC logged on that is connected to the Television that someone can access etc. I cant get IT to create a non existent user so someone would need to log in with their ID on the PC and to be logged in on their own device to do their work.

Can this be done somehow.

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
What I do in this case is have IT create a service account, where the PC will log on automatically and open the site. With this service account in a specific AD group, it overrides the default group policy and sets the system to never lock and never go to sleep. No users have the password for the service account and we don't even have a keyboard or mouse connected to the small form factor PCs that are tucked away behind the TV. It works quite nicely.

I can cast to my smart tv with my laptop by using Microsoft Edge. Unfortunately I can't remember how I did it, but perhaps that is an option for you.

In case you're interested this will save you some searching. Menus start with the 3 dots at the top right of this pic. Final menu item is Cast media to device.
