I have a spreadsheet that calculates statistics from a time period of activity. What I want to achieve is:

1. The percentage in AZ5 >50% then display a tick in cell E4
2. The percentage in AZ5 =<50% then display a cross in cell E4

I've absolutely no idea how to do this.

Can anyone help please?

Thanks.

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.

In cell E4,
=IF(AZ5 > .5, "X", "^")

where X is the cross symbol and ^ is the tick symbol.

hope that helps. ben.
