Does Excel 2000 have AVERAGEIF?

Hi guys,

I have a simple problem. I want a formula to calculate the average in a column, but for it to disregard any cell that shows a zero. It's so simple that I decided to search rather than post - here is what I came up with:

=AVERAGE(IF(V6:V57,">0"))

Unfortunately this doesn't work for me - I get #VALUE! instead. I couldn't find the function in the help file so I think that my version must be too old. Is there a way around this? Perhaps combining AVERAGE with IF?

Thanks a lot!

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying

Hi,

Try:

=AVERAGE(IF(V6:V57>0,V6:V57))

Which needs committing with Ctrl+Shift+Enter.
