I am using the Vlookup formula to match part numbers in 2 different sheets. DR250 in "Master" sheet and DR250 in "Roy" sheet.

But I get a result of "#N/A" using the formula =VLOOKUP(B2,Roy!A:M,13,FALSE).

Here is the file: http://www.box.net/shared/3eirosltd2

Why does the formula not work?

Are they not formatted the same? What?

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
You have a leading space in col B

…which you could put right by changing the formula in
Combine!B2
from
=Master!B2
to
=TRIM(Master!B2)
and copying down.

On your Master sheet there are leading space characters in the data.

So, you're looking for [space]DR250 when the data table (Roy sheet) has DR250.
