I have several rows of cells with font and shading formatting differing from row to row. When I enter a formula into a column and drag it down from row to row, my original formatting is overwritten with that of the cell in which I entered the formula. Can someone tell me how to drag a formula without overwriting cell formatting?

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
Use Copy then Paste Special|Formulas or drag with the right mouse button and select from the menu that pops up when you release the button.
