Drop down lists - how to select several choices

I have created a drop down list (using data, validation, list). Is it possible to select more than one of these choices or do I have to create the drop down list again?
For example my drop down list gives the choices of Apples, Bananas and oranges, is it possible to select both apples and oranges to appear in one box.
