Hi

Not used drop down lists before - is there a way to put a drop down on a cell without having the options as a range somewhere in the workbook?

i.e. need Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday etc as the options in the list, but without having them as a range somewhere else.

I'm sure its easy!

Many thanks

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
If you do not want to use a range of cells or a named range, then in the data validation box just hard code your requirements.

List, then in the source box type your entries separated by commas. Note you are limited to 255 characters.
