Drop-Down / Typeable Cell

Hi,

In Excel 2003 is it possible for a cell to contain a drop-down box to select preset values but which is also typeable so the user can enter any other value?

Yes. In Data > Validation, select List and specify the range containing the list then on the Error Alert tab untick Show error alert.

Sure, use Data - Validation - List
Create your list
Then on the "Error Alert" Tab, UNCHECK the box for
"Show error alert after invalid data is entered"
