hello,

I am trying to get col. f to drop down only the values associated with the value in col. e which was also from a drop down box.

Then depending on values in col e and f I want a vlookup formula to determine the value for col. g.

<TABLE style="WIDTH: 48pt; BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse" border=0 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=64 x:str><COLGROUP><COL style="WIDTH: 48pt" width=64><TBODY><TR style="HEIGHT: 15pt" height=20><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #d4d0c8; BORDER-LEFT: #d4d0c8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; WIDTH: 48pt; HEIGHT: 15pt; BORDER-TOP: #d4d0c8; BORDER-RIGHT: #d4d0c8" height=20 width=64>http://www.box.net/shared/0x7qlazqp4</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

This is my file.

I am using XL 2003

Thanks to all who may have ideas

Thank you for the suggestion.

I tried but couldn't get it to find the device.

I was able to get the lookups for the row and port, but couldn't figure out how to find the device based on which row and port were used.

I made a liste of each device and named this list "Device"

Cisco Catalyst 2960 P0E24
PA601 Atlas Sound Amplifier
Play Network 400 Series
Patch Panel

I really tried to pick the right Device when row & port were selected using a drop down list.

So if row "13" is selected and port "P23" is selected thenn I need a formula to go to the Device list and select "Cisco catalyst 2960 P0E24"

I know there has to be an easy solution but I just can't make it work.

Any other suggestions.

Thank you
