is it possible to duplicate a field for filtering purposes in a pivot? i dont want to switch to classic display, but want my second column of data to be filterable via a drop down as opposed to having to right click the data. i realize i can add a duplicate field to the source data, but wanted to avoid that and have it constructed within excel.

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
If you click on the Row Labels filter drop-down, you can choose the field to filter on.
