I have a list of 1000 things in column A. Each item is in its own row and is supposed to be unique. I believe one maybe duplicate. Is there an equation that will let me know if something is duplicated? If it does find a duplicate is there a way for it to pinpoint which one is the duplicate?

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
Place this formula into cell B1 and copy down:
=COUNTIF($A$1:$A$1000,A1)
Every unique value in A will have a "1" in column B
and duplicates will have a number greater than "1".
Apply autofilter on column B as desired.
