Hi,
I have a large daily report that i'm emailed. I need to take 4 cells of data from it and add it to another workbook. I can automate the saving of the daily report to a folder and each report has a date descriptor in its title so it easy to create links to the report.
Is it possible to write a formula that dynamically links to each new workbook based on the date? Indirect works but in order for it to work the external workbook needs to be open. Is there any other way round this where teh work book doesn't need to be open (as they are quite large and I don't want open up a a few days of them at once.?
I have manual method of creating the text string I need in advance (it is dates after all so I know what they are in advance its not totally dynamic) but just wondering if there is a way to be truly dynamic
