Hello,
When I have a formula that links into another workbook, is their a way to not require the full file path.

I keep the two workbooks in question inside the same folder, so I'd prefer that I could keep the same file name and without the filepath being present. That is simply looks into the corresponding work book in the current folder.
I create a new folder for my templates each month

For example
='\\duch-3900\env-sys2$\Waste Management\Contract Management\Haulage\Hargreaves 2023-2033\Monthly Service Reports\2023-24\February 2024\[DCC Monthly Service Report - Feb 2024.xlsx]Loads Completed'!$N$4

Able to Remove just link to workbook name

February 2024\[DCC Monthly Service Report - Feb 2024.xlsx

I played around but couldnt seem to get it to function

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Hello!
As far as I know, formulas cannot have relative references. So that leaves only VBA or PQ options.

If the linked files are in the same folder and you move or copy those files to a different folder (putting both in the same folder again), they should now be linked in the new folder.
As far as I can tell it will look using the same path relative to the parent workbook first and if can't find it will look in the previous folder.
