Hi all,

Is it possible to name worksheets based on contents of a range of cells?

For example

I have 10 sheets of data which I would like to name based on the names in a range of cells on sheet 1? (C7:C17)

Any guidance is much appreciated.

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
This renames the 10 sheets in tab positions 2 to 11

Code:
Sub Name_Sheets()
    Dim i As Integer
    For i = 1 To 10
        Sheets(i + 1).Name = Sheets("Sheet1").Range("C7:C17")(i)
    Next i
End Sub
