I have a large spreadsheet, encompassing.

I am using conditional formatting to highlight locations in excess of a preset threshold.

All of the locations are divided by several hundred districts, and between each district group there are three blank rows.

One of these rows will contain the total for that district

This row cannot have the same conditional formatting as the individual locations, because the district totals would erroneously be highlighted as exceptions.

What I am looking for is a simple way to copy and paste the same district level formatted formula line repeatedly over hundreds of row gaps, without having to do it manually.

Due to regularly shifting district alignment and distribution requirements, I cannot use SUBTOTAL or Pivot tables to accomplish this.

Basically looking for a lazier copy and past option other than line for line.

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
It should be possible to do a conditional format formula that formats the non-blank cells only. Together with, if required, a separate formula that formats the totals cells only.
Post details of your present conditional formatting, and the required formatting of the totals cells.
