Easiest Way to highlight the cell containing today's date if...

I have a spreadsheet that is tracking different inventory items, sold, in stock, ordered, received, stocked, etc. When I open the spreadsheet I would like to have today's date highlighted so I can start to enter in the days transactions.

sheet #1

date, transactions, week to date transactions, month to date, gross exchanegd dollars, net exchanged dollars

I have fumbled with this and can not see to get the fomula correct. I recorded a macro to do what I want and have a function in vb as a results. Now how do I link it to a cell formula or check the date in a formula and aplly the highlight?

How to calculate loan payments in Excel?
Use the PMT function: =PMT(5%/12,60,-25000) is for a $25,000 loan, 5% annual interest, 60 month loan.
Is your list of dates in one row or one column or do you need to search the whole sheet or additional sheets to find the date cell?

More exact information please!
