Easy input/ payroll

I need to put together a payroll sheet for some managers to use. The hard part is that they have NO knowledge of excel! What would be the best way to have them enter a name of their employee, their time, and rate of pay. Would a form with input boxes and controls be best? Or just second screen with everything locked on it? Thanks

A data validation list with the names of their employees maybe, time and so on, so that they have to pick one from the list. Have in mind though that data validation can easily be removed if someone copy-paste another cell to the data validated cell.

for data validation lists, I would suggest you put the list on a separate sheet - then name the range - then hide the sheet
