Alright, it's just been too many years since college for me. I have an equation I obtained from a quintic trendline:

y = 4E-09x5 - 1E-06x4 + 6E-05x3 - 0.0014x2 + 0.0132x

I need to convert this into a formula that excel can understand. I'm getting hung up on "4E-09x^5". Can someone please translate what "4E-09" means?

thanks

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
Hi,

4E-09 is the same as 0.000000004 or 4*(10^(-9))

It's a short mathematical notation :)
