using Excel 2002 (version 10, sp3)
need to import more than 64k into new file. import data works and breaks import at 64k, on next tab you can Start import at row number ?. question, how do you know how many lines you have to start with. can you count lines in wordpad? or is there an easy way to figure out how many records you have to start with? thanks for help

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).

Excel 97-2003 are limited to 65,536 rows by 255 columns.

In Excel 2007 and 2010, you can have 1,048,576 rows and 16,384 columns.
