Sorry for this question that is probably elementary to most. My job is requiring that I learn how to do "VLookups". I have never done this on excel and I have the book "Teach Yourself Visually - Microsoft Excel 2000" and in the index I can't find a page for the term VLookup.

Is this function known as something else? What other terms should I look for in this book that this my be a sub catagory or term?

Also if you have a spreadsheet that has a VLookup function would you be able to send it to me for me to get experience on how it work and the functions it performs.

Thanks!

Hi datadude
As RichardS has said VLOOKUP is a standard Excel function, and should be in your book.

Another source of help is the F1 Key!
Press F1 and Type in VLOOKUP, you should get a listing of topics.

Also get this workbook > contains Excel Function Dictionary a workbook that contains more than 150 examples of Excel's functions
