Is it possible to embed a dos window into an excel spreadsheet?
I dont want to be able to write to the window, just refer to it, as it will be running calculations.

I have a feeling that this is virtually impossible... anybody seen anything like this?

thanks
halley

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
OK

From the main Toolbar: Insert - Object...

"Create from File" [Tab] choose "Browse..."

go to "C:\Windows\System32\Cmd.exe"

Check the link box!

now when you click on the Cmd.exe object embeded on your sheet a window will open showing the DOS command Prompt or what it is doing!
