I need to be able to do two things in my excel spreadsheet. I have three columns. One for and "in" point, one for an "out" point, and one for "trt" (total running time).

In the "in" and "out" column I need the short cut to enter current time (CTRL + SHIFT + ;) to enter the time in hh:mm:ss, it's default is to enter hh:mm:00.

Second, in the "trt" column I need excel to automatically calculate the difference in time between the two columns." e.g. I enter 14:20:15 in column a, and 14:22:15 in column b, column c automatically reads 2:00.

Any help is really appreciated. Thanks.

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.

Point1: Format the entires column to how you want it to show. The shortcut for entering should then assume this format

Point2: =b1-a1 with the cells in a proper time format.
