I have alot of data...

basically we have devices that take temp readings every 2-3 minutes and saves the data to a dbase.

Now Im trying to show trending over time over the course of the month, but there is to much data (goes over that 62,000+ buffer in excel)

I thought I could do averages each hour for the month, but is there a way for me to do this graph easily?

Id just wnt to do average where time equals between 8:00 and 8:59
then do average where time equals between 9:00 and 9:59

but it would also have to only do it for one day at a time.... so it would have to limit it to only look at 1 day...

Am I making any sense?

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
hi.

try this - select the data, go to data | pivot table and chart... | select 'pivot chart', hit next | hit next again, assuming the range is right | select layout. drag your time into the rows & your data heaading into the data area. double click on the data heding & select average, hit OK | hit finish | right click on the time lable in the graph, select 'group and outline' | select group... | select the grouping you want, hit OK
